MEET YOUR THERAPIST
ROBYN ALAGONA CUTLER, LMFT

Perinatal & Women’s Mental Health Specialist in Oakland, CA

I'm Robyn—a mom of two, licensed therapist,

and advocate for women navigating the messy, meaningful transitions of motherhood and beyond.

For over 25 years, I’ve supported parents weaving together deep clinical expertise and down-to-earth, human connection.

I’ve walked through parenting trenches myself—identity shifts, burnout, relationship changes, anxiety, perimenopause, and self-discovery. I offer more than therapy—I offer space: where you can take a deep breath, let your guard down, and finally feel seen.

What You Can Expect When Working With Me as Your Therapist:

I believe the most important part of the therapeutic process is the relationship you have with your therapist—fit matters. I see myself as a supportive partner on your emotional journey. Therapy should feel like sitting with someone who truly cares, someone you trust, and who isn’t afraid to be human with you. I swear sometimes. I laugh a lot. I believe in mental health care that’s inclusive, progressive, trauma-informed, and deeply compassionate. And I believe growth is the whole point.

I guide women, men, and parent-couples through life’s big shifts:

  • Pregnancy, postpartum, and parenting

  • Anxiety, burnout, depression, trauma, and perfectionism

  • Relationship dynamics, intimacy, and redefining partnership

  • Perimenopause and midlife transitions

  • That “no one prepared me for this” feeling

You probably feel at home in my space if you:

  • Feel deeply and think deeply

  • Long for emotional connection

  • Are in a transition—not always sure who you are anymore

  • Want therapy that honors who you are and who you are becoming

You don’t need to wait for crisis. Feeling off—or simply not yourself—is reason enough to seek support. Therapy is a compassionate space to explore the hard stuff, reauthor old patterns, and reconnect with who you were always meant to be.

When I'm Not Supporting Parents

Most days, you’ll find me with something caffeinated in hand, driving my kids all over town. I’m probably trying to figure out when I can get back to the pottery studio, daydreaming about my next tattoo, leaving rambly voice notes for my bestie, or planning (and re-planning) our next family trip. If you stop by my house, you’ll be greeted by our rambunctious pup and the smell of something simmering on the stove—unless I’m too tired to cook… then it’s takeout.

A SUBSTACK FOR MOMS WHO WANT TO FEEL A LITTLE LESS ALONE

The Things No One Says

Hi, I’m Robyn. I’m a mom and a therapist to moms.

The Things No One Says is my monthly Substack where I write about the parts of motherhood no one talks about—but should.

It’s honest, heartfelt, and a small attempt to remind us all that we’re not the only ones feeling this way.
